Sony made this announcement today through its official blog, when previously it was only scheduled for digital release. So either Sony is hoping to reach more people, or the retail release is a testament to its status as an “official” Ratchet & Clank, and not simply a downloadable game.
Developed by Insomniac, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is similar to Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty in its size, though Full Frontal Assault will have new features.
This marks the second Ratchet & Clank to come out this year, as August had Ratchet & Clank Collection, a bundle featuring the original games in high definition for $30.
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be another game that takes advantage of Sony’s Cross Buy promotion, meaning that if you buy the PlayStation 3 version you will also get the PlayStation Vita version for free.
