Minecraft is the game that just keeps on giving. Now Ubisoft has released a Far Cry 3 mod for Minecraft, transforming the pixelated setting of Minecraft into the environments of Far Cry 3. You’ll need a PC to run the mod, though, so Minecrafters on other platforms are out of luck, at least for now.
Not just restricted to the environment, the Far Cry 3 mod changes the types of blocks you use, enemies you fight, weapons you defend yourself with, and tools you utilize.
You’ll also see several familiar locations and characters from Far Cry 3, such as Vaas, Jason and Citra, now at home in the cutesy Minecraft world. There’s also over 50 Easter eggs peppered around the game, so keep an eye out for those as well.
The Far Cry 3 maps were designed by Michael Lambert, Axel Janssen and Yohann Delcourt. Look for the mod for download at the official Far Cry 3 website.
