SimCity Pushed Back To March 2013

Originally announced for a release in February of 2013, SimCity has now been pushed back to March of 2013.

EA confirmed the new dates through their twitter account putting the game for release in the UK on March 8 and in the US on March 5, 2013. The publisher has yet to reveal the reason for the sudden delay but the extra month will no doubt work in favor of polishing the title further.

SimCity is the first title in the series to be developed using the GlassBox engine. The powerful engine will help the game accurately simulate various everyday mechanics like traffic flow, disasters and more.

The game is currently in closed beta for the PC but will release next year side by side on the Mac as well.
