Sony Releases Another Teaser Ad – The Arrival

Following the recent teaser video ‘The Reload’, Sony has now released another one, this one titled ‘The Arrival’.

The last video showed a woman at a desk surrounded by PlayStation-themed items. The same woman is shown in the new video as well. This time she’s typing a code on a typewriter as an army jeep pulls up outside. She goes out to greet the mystery driver and seemed ‘bored’ or disappointed.

The last video had people speculating on an ad campaign for the new PlayStation Store. The new one suggests otherwise.

IGN reader StargamerX discovered that the code in the letter is actually the language from Ratchet & Clank. Replacing the variables we get:

Dear Copernicus we have received your letter and regret to inform you captain…

Copernicus L. Quark is a character in the Ratchet & Clank series.

The next clue is the jeep which is shown carrying explosive barrels very similar to the kind you find in Uncharted. The silhouette of the driver also resembles Nathan Drake from the series. Additionally The license plate on the back of the truck represents another Naughty Dog series – Jak & Daxter.

Both videos end with the date October 23. that’s the release date for the PlayStation Store in North America. However, the second video looks more like an ad for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. So which is it?
