REDkit Allows Witcher 2 Players to Create Their Own Worlds

By   /   Oct 19, 2012

CD Projekt RED plans to release the REDkit toolset which will allow fans to create their own missions with the original game assets or do something more original. Creativity is not just limited to custom assets, “these modders will assist in the development and perfection of the tools and the game engine itself.”

The tools let you quickly generate terrain, place objects and plant trees in real time using the company’s own REDengine. It will allow users to create non-linear adventures, which shape the game world itself and affect the overall plot.

The kit will be available to everyone in early 2013. However, it is currently in closed beta phase with hundreds of modders given early access.
