Ever since the unveiling of iPad 3 there have been speculations as to when Infinity Edge Blade comes out, and now it seems we’ll have to wait until iPad 4 is unveiled. The top-down action RPG was shown live to demonstrate the power of the iPad 3 but never got released on it. The reason for the delay is the new team of the Impossible Studios that Epic Games put together, as mentioned by Epic Games in a talk with AllThingsD:
Ever since the talented team at Impossible Studios got their hands on Infinity Blade: Dungeons, they’ve been busy adding their great ideas to the game, there was also the matter of getting the Impossible Studios team up and running with desks, chairs, staplers and computers. The logistics of a new studio and implementing all these great ideas required a little extra time, so Infinity Blade: Dungeons will hit iOS in 2013.
It would surely come as a disappointment but it’s good to know that when it IS finally released it will be bigger and better. The game has been eagerly awaited since the impressive demonstration in March. Made on the unreal engine the game is the prequel in the successful Infinity Blade franchise which have cashed in more than $30 million since its inception in 2010.
