Backbone Entertainment On The Verge Of Shutting Down

Established in 2003, Backbone Entertainment, the developers of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix may be on the verge of shutting down.

According to IGN’s sources, the US developer house is making layoffs in an attempt to keep the company smaller. It’s uncertain at this time whether the firm will completely shut down or will carry on with a smaller work force.

Backbone Entertainment has been behind Death Jr., Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone, Double Helix, Sumo Digital and Pipeworks. Recent projects include LEGO Rock Band and Marvel vs Capcom 2.
