PS3 gamers may have to bear another buggy game on their console, for at least a little while. Those who downloaded RE6 from the PSN have been suffering from all sorts of loading problems ever since the day one patch for the game.
Capcom has issued a statement to ign regarding this matter:
Essentially it is recognized that some consumers who downloaded the game from the PSN store pre-loaded (pre-order) or within the early hours of launch may be experiencing problems booting up the game. In short, early purchasers who tried to download the game from PSN store may have seen an error message, after they downloaded the day 1 patch.
As a temporary fix, Capcom has suggested PS3 players who are facing this problem to uninstall and then re-install the game. The incoming patch will also remedy the fact that those who originally downloaded Resident Evil 6 from the PSN store, have not been able to access RE.net.
Resident Evil 6 was launched on October 2nd to a polarizing critical reception.
