XCOM: Shooter Has Been Revamped Into A Third-Person Title

XCOM: Shooter was announced by 2K Games back at E3 2010. The game was then said to be delayed and two years later, seems to have completely vanished. However, a batch of screenshots leaked by an anonymous user to Kotaku suggest that XCOM Shooter has now been turned into a third-person game.

As learned from the images, the game is now a squad-based shooter, and you will be able to order your team mates around the map. Perhaps there will also be the option of switching between characters.

It also has been reported that the game is in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360 only. That’s come as a shocker because originally the game was announced for the PC as well.

The images have not been confirmed by 2K Games who said:

We have not made any new announcements regarding the XCOM title currently in development at 2K Marin, and it is our policy not to comment on rumors or speculation.

Meanwhile its brother XCOM: Enemy Unknown, a strategic title will be released on October 12.
