Provided everything goes well with Assassin’s Creed 3, the Intellectual Property is set up to release a game on an annual basis, according to Alex Hutchinson, the creative director for Assassin’s Creed 3.
As long as everyone likes AC3! We’ve talked a lot about that. If we can tell a really high quality story and deliver it every year then I don’t see any reason why we’d stop. At the moment it’s such a popular franchise and we’ve managed to keep the quality up pretty much.
Hopefully you guys will really like AC3, and if that’s true then I’m sure we will [continue to release annually].
“We’re in the best position we’ve been in the franchise in terms of having a plan of where we’re going for the next several years,” added Hutchinson, in reference to the Assassin’s Creed IP being planned out for years to come.
Assassin’s Creed 3 will be released on October 31st for PS3 and Xbox 360, with a delayed release in November for the Wii U and PC.
