Lost Planet 3 Will Feature Changing Weather Patterns & Narrative Driven Gameplay

By   /   Sep 23, 2012

Andrew Szymanski, the producer of Lost Planet 3 has revealed that Lost Planet 3 will feature changing weather patterns and narrative driven gameplay.

Talking with Capcom Unity at TGS 2012, Szymanski said that the new changes come as a result of learning from their past titles in the franchise. The weather changes will bring a new gameplay experience for players. Players retracing their steps to a previously explored area might find it under a blizzard storm and with new enemies who are accustomed to the new weather. In addition the new weather will also change the look of an area as well as the visibility.

He continued saying that this will give players something new to face when going back. The monotonous feeling you might have gotten in previous Lost Planet games will now trouble you no longer.

The video interview can be found below.

Lost Planet 3 will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2013.
