MGM Acquires Metro 2033 Film Rights

The latest in the sci-fi world is MGM acquiring the film rights to Metro 2033. The rights are for the Russian novel which was penned down by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The game was based off the same book and for which a sequel is currently being developed for next year.

The script for the Metro 2033 movie will be written by F. Scott Frazier and production will be handled by Mark Johnson (The Chronicles of Narnia).

Set in the year 2033, a nuclear disaster has rid Moscow of everything. Those who have survived must now seek shelter underground.

Metro 2033 is about a young boy living there who must go through many obstacles in order to reach above ground. The obstacles come in the face of mutants, soldiers and political factions.
