Unfortunately, for those of us who didn’t have the $100-$150 asking price the edition quickly sold out before you could say “Vault Hunters Assemble!” The internet wasn’t happy, as you can imagine. They voiced their opinions to 2K and Gearbox and studio head Randy Pitchford even admitted to people emailing him death threats over their inability to acquire a copy of the loot chest.
Despite all the threats and internet outcry, there wasn’t anything Gearbox could do. You can only produce so many of a given product like that…unless you happen to stumble upon one sitting in a dark corner of your office that no one had noticed. So now the frantic chase begins a new!
If you head over to 2K games’ Facebook page you can sign up to win the last remaining copy of the Ultimate Loot Chest Edition. If you happen to fall short of that, though, you could potentially win a Claptrap figure, Bandit Figure, or a T-shirt.
So head over to the 2K games page on Facebook and try your luck. You could be the envy of all your Vault Hunting friends!
