Borderlands 2 Mechromancer Class DLC Gets Date and Price
The Mechromancer class was originally revealed as a pre-order DLC, given free to anyone who pre-orders Borderlands 2. Gearbox are offering it to people who’e not pre-ordered, just at an additional cost.
Randy Pritchford from Gearbox Software revealed the official date and price for this character DLC at PAX. How much is a skill tree and in-game model worth, then? Gearbox seem to think that $10 is a fair amount, and are making it available to people as of October 16.
$10 seems a bit expensive, especially when you consider that this will be setting the precedent for any future class DLCs that Gearbox bring out, which they’ve already hinted at doing. If you don’t want to pay up, you can just pre-order the game and get her for free.
Everyone who pre-orders will get access to the Premier Club (Not to be confused with the Season Pass), which will give you additional weapons and the Mechromancer for free. But it’s only available if you pre-order, so you might want to do that now whilst you still can.
If you’re not pre-ordering, then do you think $10 is a fair price for a single character class? Or are Gearbox taking the mick. What are your thoughts?
