Ubisoft has not been shy about giving Assassin’s Creed information. In fact, they seem to be giving out information about their unreleased game left and right just for fun. They’ve been quick to introduce the new hero, Conner and show us the setting for the game, The Revolutionary War. What they haven’t spoken much about is the multiplayer side of the game.
Well now they have divulged a bit of information on that topic too. It seems this year’s entry of multiplayer will have a far more explicit story – one that will continue after the game’s launch. The story of the multi player mode is set to be expanded with regular monthly updates.
In the game, Abstergo turned the Animus machine into a service that regular people can use. Playerswho play themulitplayer mode will beaverage people who go to Abstergo andjump into the Animus to “relive the past in HD,”saysUbisoft. With that said, Ubisoft willbe pushing out new challenges each month for players to complete.
As you progressin the game andlevel upyour character, you access these files and videos. Every month, you’ll have new challenges to unlock new content that will continue the storyline throughout the year,” game director of Ubisoft Annecy, Damien Kieken, said to CVG.
This seems like a clever way to introduce new content to the game’s multiplayer mode. Let’s hope its execution goes off without a glitch.
