The plaguing problem between Bethesda and Sony have now seeped into Skyrim’s upcoming DLC as well.
Previously Bethesda already had announced that the release of Dawnguard would be delayed on the PS3. This was because the game needed some further polishing to match the PC standards.
Now they have out to re-phrase that earlier statement, that there are chances the DLC might not come on the PS3 at all.
From Bethesda’s blog:
We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone. The PS3 is a powerful system, and we’re working hard to deliver the content you guys want. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content.
A major problem that Skyrim faced on the PS3 at release as the dropping of frame-rate. I reckon that’s the same thing that’s hampering the DLC as well. We’ll have to wait it out for further updates.
