More delicious gameplay footage from Borderlands two folks, and a lot of it too! Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford sits down with Gamespot and discusses the Borderlands 2 co-op and even a sneak peek at the Mechromancer class, which will be available as DLC mere 60-ish days after launch.
The video is an hour long, so if you’re itching to type ‘Too long, didn’t listen’ in the comments section here’s the low down on the main info.
Randy tells us just a little bit about the storyline, nothing spoiler worthy to be honest, and then they jump right into a co-op side-mission which is in an arena style combat setting against waves of fighting robots. We get to see how hard the game is and the importance of a varied skill set.
We see a bit of the character customization in action as the players change their skins and models and a small look at the skills of some of the classes.
One thing to note is that the art style is really appealing, with a colorful aesthetic. To see the Mechromancer class, jump to about 55:20 of the clip.
Keep in mind it’s still a work in progress. Borderlands 2 hits store shelves on September 18 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
