David Bateman has been the voice of Agent 47 since 2000, when he voiced Agent 47 in Hitman: Codename 47. Fans will be happy to hear that David Bateman is making a return for Hitman: Absolution and will be returning to his regular role.
Square Enix confirmed this earlier, in a bid to dispel rumours that Bateman had been dropped from the franchise. Whether it was true or not, we don’t know yet, but the development team have apparently changed their mind.
The rumours started circulating after a series of reports indicated that Bateman was being replaced by another actor.
Square Enix also confirmed that William Mapother (Known for portraying Ethan on Lost) would also be coming on board. They plan to flesh out Agent 47 more with some extensive motion capture work.
