VITA Update 1.80 Supports PSOne Classics & Touch Controls On PSP Games

The Vita is receiving a new software update this week which includes two major changes.

Sony had been advertising it’s hand-held support for PSOne Classics for some time now. This new update will bring that to light, allowing players to go through a huge library of classic games available on the PlayStation Store.

For a complete list of the classic games you can visit the official post on Sony’s blog.

The new new firmware update will also allow users to map custom touchscreen controls to PSP games. The L and R triggers can now be placed onto the right thumb stick.

Update 1.80 is already available in the US and will arrive in Europe later this week.
