Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is headed to both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita as a download title this year. Insomniac’s latest PS3 game will add a new tower-defence gameplay element to the series’ traditional mix of action and platforming.
It’ll feature three playable characters (Ratchet, Clank and Captain Qwark) taking on a “new nemesis” and their alien army in a base defense-style survival scenario.
Not only will this game be on the Vita & PS3, as well as have cross-buy incentive, but it also is seeing a “small private beta”, according to Insomniac Games, the developer.
Now this beta is being launched to test the game’s “intense new competitive mode,” as well as helping Insomniac tuning the game. Keep in mind that this beta will be only available to North American Playstation network members.
If you’d like to sign up, head over to the signup page. In Europe, the game is called Ratchet & Clank: Qforce. I can only assume the name change is for the sake of confusing everyone.
