Kenji Kaido Leaves Sony
I have some news, he wrote on Monday. This August, I left Sony Computer Entertainment. My plans for the future are undecided as of now, but for the time being I’m going to continue my summer vacation.
Wha… what? replied Masahiro Sakurai, creator of Super Smash Bros., via Twitter. “Thanks for all of your hard work. I look forward to hearing about your new ventures.
Thank you very much, Kaido replied. I’m also excited about whatever I’m going to be doing next.
Kenji has worked on games like Ape Escape, Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. Sony has clearly lost a great employee and I’m excited to see where Kenji goes from here.
Indeed, it’s been far too long since the world has played one of Kenji’s games. The last game he was a part of, was Shadow of the Colossus in 2005. It is said that he has had no part in the development of The Last Guardian.
