Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Coming To Consoles October 26

By   /   Aug 27, 2012

The amped up version of Dark Souls that was being developed for PC is also getting a console release in just a few weeks.

We reported before that there was definitely a console version of this edition coming to consoles in the form of DLC content. Now we have a confirmed date as well!

Namco Bandai confirmed that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition would be available on both PS3 and Xbox 360 as of October 26, 2012. If you already own the original Dark Souls, then you can get in on the new content in the form of a small paid DLC pack rather than buying the game all over again.

PC gamers can already play the game along with the new Artorias of the Abyss content on Steam. Since Dark Souls was never ported to PC, Prepare to Die Edition is the first chance that many gamers have had to actually play any of the content, let alone the new area.

Some of the fixes and graphical improvements will be exclusive to PC, unfortunately for console gamers (Such as the lifted frame rate), but that doesn’t mean you should miss out on this great, new content.
