The upcoming patch 1.0.4 for Diablo 3 will include a new Paragon System. This new system is designed for additional rewards in terms of statistics once you have maxed your character to level 60. Here is how it works.
You will still earn experience once you have reached the maximum level 60 on your character. This further experience from killing monsters will count towards Paragon levels, which has a total of 100 Paragon levels. With each level up you’ll be rewarded with core stats upgrades such as Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Vitality. You’ll also gain 3% Magic Find and 3% Gold find.
In addition a new border will outline your character’s portrait showing your current Paragon progression. There is a new frame available for your portrait after every 10 levels, that adds up to 10 different frames until you reach level 100. Other players will be able to see your Paragon progression as well.
It has been known for some time now that a large amount of players quit playing Diablo 3 once they have ended the game. The new Paragon system might just bring a few back to keep on playing.
