The staff at Destructoid caught up with Katushiro Harada at Gamescom 2012. The chief producer was more than pleased to show off some new features and improvements being included in the upcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2 title.
To start things off Harada stated that the game will the first of it’s kind in the fighting genre to support 3D on consoles. The option to enable it can be found in the display settings along with other options, such as the ability to adjust the depth.
Another new feature added is Tekken Tunes where players can create their own custom soundtracks. You can import your own music directly into the system hard disk.
Finally there is Fight Lab, a handy tool to help beginners learn the core mechanics of the game. A robot by the name of Combot will guide your through hundreds of techniques to work your way up to being a proficient fighter.
Every time you learn and successfully pull of a technique, you’ll earn points which can be used to learn more techniques.
However, not all techniques can be bought. Some, like Paul’s Phoenix Smash will require a S-Rank which can be obtained after completing other harder techniques.
