Sleeping Dogs DLC Is Planned For 6 Months
Although Sleeping Dogs has just been released today, Square-enix is not exactly shy about discussing the plans it has already made for the DLC of the game. Square plans to dish out DLC for Sleeping Dogs all throughout the six months following the game’s release.
The content will include cars, outfits and “game extending” mission packs. Day one DLC for the game includes retro Triad Pack, which includes a “killer old school outfit” with its own player buffs and a “funky kung-fu van.”
In September we can look forward to a Racing and a SWAT pack.
Lee Singleton, General Manager, Square Enix London Studios commented about the DLC campaign:
SLEEPING DOGS is a game we know fans will want to keep on playing, so over the next six months we’ll be creating a series of new content packs giving players everything they need to keep enjoying the game,” …“We want to create something to suit everyone’s play style from cool cars and high-speed missions to outlandish outfits and game-extending mission packs. The game launch is just the beginning
This act by Square-enix further cements the belief the publisher has in the game and in United Front as the developers. Remember that Sleeping Dogs previously named True Crime: Hong Kong was left for the dead by Activision before Square-enix bought the publishing rights to the game and salvaged it? Seems like the idea paid them off well.
