Capcom Announces ‘Remember Me’ For 2013

Remember Me
Capcom has finally and officially announced Remember Me, a new sci-fi action title due to release for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC next year.

The game is being developed by Dontnod Entertainment, a new studio based on France and setup by some major names in the industry. Firstly we have Oskar Guilbert, former head of developer relations at Criterion Games, then comes sci-fi writer Alain Damasio and finally art director Aleksi Briclot, who has previously worked with Wizards of the Coast.

Remember Me is set in Neo-Paris in the year 2084. In this advanced age a new kind of crime is on the loose. We’re talking stealing and selling of other people’s memories.

According to Capcom, the gameplay will focus on just that and the combat mechanics will include a mixture of melee and Uncharted-esque platforming.

Players will be put in the boots of Nilin who is a former elite memory hunter set on a mission to retrieve her stolen memories.

Take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. Arrested, and with her memory wiped clean Nilin must now set out on a mission to rediscover her identity.

The title was first teased at GamesCom last year. Capcom tagged it as ‘Adrift’ and provided us with some concept arts for the game along with a short teaser video.
