The popular side scrolling plat-former will now offer 1080p support on the Wii U and will also have the option of Off-Tv Play where you can switch off your television and continue playing the game elsewhere in your house.
Toki Tori 2 was previously announced for launch on Steam and iOS, but no release date has yet been revealed.
An interesting feature on the Wii U version of the game is allowing players to take snapshots of creatures and objects using the GamePad. All these snapshots are then added in the in-game encyclopedia, cleverly tagged as the Tokidex.
The original Toki Tori was first launched on Game Boy Color. Later it was released on the 3DS Virtual Console, the PC, Mac and then mobile platforms. Below is a new teaser trailer for Toki Tori 2.
