Stalker 2 May Well Be Alive, Bethesda May Be the Publisher
GSC Gameworld, the developer responsible for S.T.A.L.K.E.R game series announced it officially that they won’t be able to continue the development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 due to some issues with the investors. The studio was shutdown and the team apparently started working on some other project.
Despite of the fact that most of the fans had said good bye to the franchise, a Ukrainian blog has information that the game may well be completed and published by the renowned ‘Bethesda’.
The news can’t just be a rumor as back in April, we also had a report that Bethesda has bought the IP indicating that they might continue working on the project. According to the source, although Bethesda has acquired rights of Publication, but Sergei Grigorovich (CEO of GSC Gameworld) hasn’t sold the brand yet. There is still no information about the release date yet but now, we can have faith that sooner or later, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is going to get released.
