The Electronic Software Association has announced today that they plan to hold the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles for the next three years.
It was being talked about for some years now that E3 should move to a new city. The downtown area of Los Angeles where the expo is currently held suffered tremendous earthquakes and a major riot back in 2010. In addition people have talked about the expo to be shifted to a much “appealing” area.
CEO of ESA, Michael D. Gallagher said:
We are proud to partner with Los Angeles for another three years. The City serves as a strong backdrop for the video game industry’s biggest announcements and we look forward to remaining in LA. Video games are a dominant force in the global entertainment marketplace and there is no better place to display that than Los Angeles. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the City and AEG.
