EA Promise To Continue Supporting Battlefield 3 After Sequel Is Released

The recent announcement of Battlefield 4 has some fans worried, but EA want to put those fears to rest.

Many fans who have invested a lot of their money into EA’s Battlefield 3 are highly worried that the early announcement of the Battlefield 4  beta for Autumn 2013 might mean the death of BF3.

EA on the other hand, think that they can manage to support two major FPS titles, and have promised fans that they will continue to support BF3 even after BF4 is released. The news came from Ian Tornay today on the Battlefield Blog.

“We are committed to providing an excellent Battlefield 3 experience well into the future, past the releases of Aftermath, End Game and Battlefield 4,”

“DICE is continuing its work on Battlefield 3 alongside Battlefield 4. Most importantly, official details regarding Battlefield 4 will always be made available on and here on the Battlefield Blog.

We expect that the level of interest in Battlefield 4 will lead to a lot of speculation and rumour – don’t fall for it!”

They’ve also guaranteed beta access for anyone who pre-orders the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which is due for release later this year. Whilst EA have confirmed other methods of gaining beta access, they are yet to reveal just what they are.
