Two PS2 classics just got an overhaul, Weekly Famitsu magazine just confirmed that Yakuza 1 and 2 will both get HD graphics as well as certain other minor improvements to make it more streamlined. Along with shorter load times, you can now manage your item box in any nearby phone booth.
Customers who pre-order the game will also get a clear folder featuring the original box art for both Yakuza titles.
The whole thing costs 5,290 yen ($67) and will be available for purchase on November 1st, though it’s not clear whether the set is going to be retail only or available for digital purchase.
Sega has been hinting at a major announcement on its official Yakuza website for a while now, no doubt this is it. We can probably expect an official announcement very soon.
