By   /   Jul 17, 2012

EA is set to update it’s established gaming client Origin with the new 9.0 version, as they announced its traits and the enhancements it will be bringing to the client.

Though no clear release date of the full version of update was given, it is expected to come out after a beta release for those who want to take the chance.

If you’re one of them, you can get the beta version of the update by launching Origin, going to Settings, and checking the  “update to the pre-release version if available” option under Origin Pre-Release Participation.

The updates is said to bring out a few vital performance improvements and responsiveness. It will also slightly alter the interactive look and set-up of the client. The friends list is now will be in a box you can move around and close if desire, and will dock to a small icon at the top of the screen.

The help menu will also be enhanced, containing links to chats, forums and order histories. The games library will feature a slider bar to enlarge/miniaturize the box-art thumbs of the owned games.

Numerous minor changes will also accompany the ones mentioned above. We hope this update can make Origin truly much more trustworthy and reliable than it is.
