Last month we posted about the legendary anniversary collector’s set for Street Fighter. The set is definitely a must buy for every Street Fighter fan out there. However, the $150 price tag might have put some people off.

Today Capcom announced at Comic-Con that the set would get some further added content making this one collector’s set to rule them all. Note that the added content has so far been only announced for the PS3 version.

Before I mention the added content, let’s take a review of the contents that we already know of:

Games

  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
  • Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition
  • Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (with all the costumes and DLC)
  • Street Fighter X Tekken (with all character swap costume DLC)

Movies (will come in 2 Blu-ray discs)

  • Street Fighter documentary
  • Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV anime
  • Street Fighter animated series
  • Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie

Other

  • Ryu Statue (8″ and lights up)
  • Life-size replica of Ryu’s belt
  • 64-page hardcover artbook containing art submissions from fans.
  • 11-disc soundtrack spanning the franchise’s 25-year history, in addition to remixes and fan submissions.

The PS3 version of the anniversary set will now also include download codes for the PS Classics: Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max for the PSP and all of the Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition DLC. In addition you’ll also be getting an astonishing 175 PSN avatars.

So does that change your mind on buying the set? The anniversary collector’s set launches on September 18 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
