Steam Summer Sale Finally Lands

The highly elusive Summer Sale has finally hit Steam, a few weeks later than most imagined it would.

The annual Summer Sale is a big event that a large portion of the Steam community look forward to every year (Along with the Christmas Sale), however this years has been so late that many people doubted that it was actually happening this year.

A recent post on the Steam forums confirmed that a sale was coming, and today on July 22nd we finally got to see the sale hit the store. The usual things are happening, with a number of titles being reduced lower than all the others for 24 hours, but there’s an unusual new twist alongside them. Now there are some flash deals that only last 8-10 hours.

There’s three of them at any one time, and you get to vote on the next ones. They’re the lowest price Steam can afford to go on them and they’re all big titles. A brilliant chance to snap up some great games likeĀ Deus Ex: Human Revolution whilst they’re really, really cheap.

Today’s major deals include:

  • Heroes of Might and Magic franchise
  • Crusader Kings franchise
  • Terraria
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  • Total War franchise
  • RidgeRacer Unbounded
  • Legend of Grimrock

There’s also the Indie Bundles, which will be changing around every day. Today’s Indie Bundle 1 includes:

  • Anomaly: Warzone Earth
  • Cave Story+
  • EDGE
  • Lone Survivor
  • The Baconing

Pretty much everything else on Steam is also on offer, so grab some cheap-ass games whilst you can!
