Metal Gear Solid HD Boosts PS Vita Sales in Japan

By   /   Jul 6, 2012

It’s hard to argue that the PS Vita hasn’t exactly been the home run Sony was expecting it would be, but thanks to Konami’s Metal Gear Solid HD Edition, the handheld saw a significant raise in sales during the game’s release.

During the week ending in July 1, the PS Vita nearly doubled its past week’s sales from 13,589, to 25,636. At the same time, MGS HD Edition reached number eight in Media Create Sales with 20,139 units sold.

While this is nice to hear, and is significant proof that the handheld’s main problem now is the lack of quality games. Let’s just hope Sony can remedy that soon.
