Latest PS Vita Firmware Update Adds PS1 Support

By   /   Jul 3, 2012

Sony has revealed that the newest firmware update for the PlayStation Vita (1.8) will add in PS Classics support.

Aside from this little nugget, not much else was divulged. We currently don’t know what other features the newest update will bring, and we also don’t know when it will exactly be out; although Sony did say this coming summer.

PS Classics is a fancy name to say that the PS Vita will be able to play PlayStation 1 games.

Also keep in mind that while the firmware update will be going live in the summer, Sony has yet to detail when its PS Classics support will actually take place.
