The publisher is partnering with Chinese media/e-business conglomerate Tencent to bring the Call of Duty brand to China.
Simply called Call of Duty Online, the game will be multiplayer-only and will be microtransactions-based. It take place within the Modern Warfare universe.
Activision has also released the game’s first-ever trailer.
What does this mean to you? To be honest, nothing. Call of Duty Online will be exclusive to China and won’t be coming in other territories…but hey, we have Black Ops II, right? So there’s that.
