Warner Bros. Announces DC Fighting Game ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’

Warner Bros. Interactive has just announced that NetherRealm studios — the makers of the Mortal Kombat franchise — is making a DC fighting game!

It will be called Injustice: Gods Among Us and will feature DC’s finest heroes (and villains!) pummeling each other senseless.

The press release asks the question, “What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat? ” Which means something must have happened to Batman and Co. to turn against each other — and presumably, the world.

While Batman and Superman is a given, the confirmed cast so far includes Solomon Grundy, Harley Quinn, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. Keep in mind that’s not the whole cast, I’m guessing the likes of Green Lantern, Joker, etc. will also be there, too!

If you want to see a snippet of it in action, we’ve embedded a video below. (thanks, GameSpot!)

Warner Bros. has also revealed that Injustice: Gods Among Us will be out in 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.
