Splinter Cell: Blacklist to be Revealed by Ubisoft at E3

While a sixth entry into the Splinter Cell franchise is a given — it is, after all, one of Ubisoft’s premiere franchises — now the game officially has a name.

Titled Splinter Cell: Blacklist — and not Retribution as previously rumored, ┬áthe game will still star franchise protagonist Sam Fisher and is the sequel to Conviction.

The game’s premise will reportedly be a Sam Fisher with no gray hair (!) and the plot will be based on his enemies “targeted as Blacklist;” hence the title.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set to be announced by Ubisoft at their E3 press conference a mere few days away. The game is being developed by Ubisoft’s Toronto studio and it’s being targeted for a January 2013 release for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.
