Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Weapons, Equipment and Attachments


Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series has managed to secure a unique niche in the tactical shooting genre. Future Soldier is going to be the 6th installment in the series which is somewhat different from its predecessors considering its visuals and presentation.

In any case, the game has got a descent multiplayer (both co-op and competitive) with a variety of weapons to choose from. For the time being, I will focus on weapons/equipment and attachments, which are actually the primary element in the multiplayer shooter games.

The weapons have been divided into two groups; Ghost and Bordak. If you are playing as Ghost, you won’t be able to use the weapons available to Bordak (unless you find them on the ground) and vice versa.

For each load out, you will be allowed to choose one primary weapon, a secondary weapon, a grenade type and an equipment piece. Let’s start with the weapons available to the two separate groups:

Assault

417
If you are looking for a long-range weapon descent stopping power, 417 is one option to consider. The weapon has a fire rate of 720 and will be unlocked once you have got to the level 20.

Weapon’s damage may not be that impressive but high rate of fire (915 RPM) do compensate a bit specially when you are using it in the fully-automatic mode. The weapon will be available to you right from the start.

Due to its relatively small size, the weapon does give better maneuverability to the player. Rate of fire (720 RPM) or the damage is no more than average.

One good thing about LMGs is that they very high stopping power. The reload time can be a pain. If you are a fan of showering bullets at the enemy blindly and suppressing them, you should give MK48 a try. The weapon will be available by default.

Just another LMG you may love. However, you will have to unlock it by spending some Uplay points. Where to get them? You can earn points by completing some challenges. The rate of fire (660 RPM) of these weapons is slightly lower than that of MK48.

Ghost Launchers

Mk40GL EMP
It’s a secondary EMP launcher that fires 40MM EMP shells. These shells explode after traveling some distance from the ground. A direct hit can temporarily knock out the enemies.

Mk40GL Expl.
It fires shells that explode on the impact. It takes almost 4 seconds to reload this launcher.

Mk40GL Smoke
It is quite similar in action to the launchers mentioned above. The only difference is that if fires Smoke Shells creating a smoke screen on explosion.

Ghost Handguns

45T
A typical handgun that can come in handy when ammo in your primary weapon runs out. Switching is always quicker than the reload. The weapon will be available by default.

Ghost Grenades

Decoy – The gadget can be used to distract enemies by using the false gunfire.

EMP – This grenade will disable the enemy equipment in range for sometime.

Flashbang – The grenade will make the enemies blind and the screen will look rattled to them.

Frag – An explosive grenade.

Incendiary – Just like a Molotov, Incendiary grenade will set an area on fire on explosion.

Smoke – You can smoke a particular region to interfere the enemy line of sight.

Ghost Equipment

Ammo Box – It refills the ammo and grenades for you and your team.

Augmented Camo – When the optical cammo is active, it will increase the thermal shielding as well as the mobility.

Camera – It is used to gather Intel

Claymore – The equipment blows off when any enemy enters its contact range.

Field Computer – It can be used for hacking faster.

Jammer – The jammer prevents enemy intel devices from detection.

Med Kit – You can revive yourself or your teammates (faster revive) with it.

Sentry – The small machine gun that can target enemies automatically.

Stun – This mine can stun an enemy for some time which can be used for data hacking.

UAV – You can use these drones (they have cameras on them) to gather intel on enemies.

UCAV – It almost works like the UAV drone but it can also be used for Assault with EMP missiles and six frag explosives.

Bodark Assault Rifles

AK-200
AK-200 is a descent all round weapon for long-range shooting. The recoil may give you some trouble at some places, but if you can bear that, its accuracy and stopping power is not that bad. The weapon will be available by default.

It fires 40MM EMP rounds that explode on impact. The EMP can interfere with the normal functioning of enemy equipment.

This secondary launcher fires explosive shots that explode on hitting the target.

This secondary launcher has shots that will create a smoke screen on explosion.

This semi-automatic handgun can come in useful when your primary ammo runs out during a fire-fight. Switching to secondary weapon is always faster than the reload.

Bodark Grenades

Decoy – The gadget can be used to distract enemies by using the false gunfire.

EMP – This grenade will disable the enemy equipment in range for sometime.

Flashbang – The grenade will make the enemies blind and the screen will look rattled to them.

Frag – An explosive grenade.

Incendiary – Just like a Molotov, Incendiary grenade will set an area on fire on explosion.

Smoke – You can smoke a particular region to interfere the enemy line of sight.

Bodark Equipment

Ammo Box – It refills the ammo and grenades for you and your team.

Augmented Camo – When the optical cammo is active, it will increase the thermal shielding as well as the mobility.

Camera – It is used to gather Intel

Claymore – The equipment blows off when any enemy enters its contact range.

Field Computer – It can be used for hacking faster.

Jammer – The jammer prevents enemy intel devices from detection.

Med Kit – You can revive yourself or your teammates (faster revive) with it.

Sentry – The small machine gun that can target enemies automatically.

Stun – This mine can stun an enemy for some time which can be used for data hacking.

UAV – You can use these drones (they have cameras on them) to gather intel on enemies.

UCAV – It almost works like the UAV drone but it can also be used for Assault with EMP missiles and six frag explosives.
