Zenimax Media, the parent company of publisher Bethesda, has just registered a trademark for Skyrim and it’s the term “Dragonborn.”
The trademark was filed just this last May 15 and it pertains to “goods” and “services;” which means this could be anything from a new DLC or maybe a a new deodorant carrying the trademark.
For those not familiar with the term, Dragonborn in Skyrim refers to an individual who has been born with the blood and soul of a dragon, but has the body of a man.
What’s interesting here is not the trademark itself, but the fact that the term Dragonborn is also used in Dungeon & Dragon’s as a race. So it’s going to be interesting to see what Wizards of the Coast will make of this sudden filing by Zenimax.
