It seems BioWare’s upcoming Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut ending DLC won’t just be a couple of scenes pasted together, as some of the game’s voice actors will even come back to record new dialogue for the game.
Actress Tricia Helfer (Burn Notice) confirmed this by publicly stating, “I’m voicing some more Mass Effect on Monday.” For those who don’t know, Helfer voices EDI in the game.
Aside from the actress, Lance Henriksen, who plays Admiral Hackett also confirmed that’s doing additional voice-work for the game.
I just did another session with them…They were saying there’s a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the ending. So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality they’ve been doing.
Usually, when a guy loses the game, the game shuts down; it’s over. It’s done. The players don’t like that.
If those two weren’t enough, Raphael Sbarge, who plays Kaiden Alenko, also confirmed his involvement with a tweet.
Just when you thought I would never go back, they keep PULLING me back in #MassEffect!! Recording!! Yay! Wha-hoo!
Of course, this doesn’t mean that the other voice actors aren’t recording new material. For all we know, they could have already done so but didn’t state the fact publicly.
This should please disgruntled Mass Effect 3 fans, no?
Mass Effect 3’s Extended Cut DLC will be available as a free download later this year.
