The scene starts with a bald Max being escorted by police into what we presume to be his cell. Understandably, there’s a ton of shooting involved with the trailer and while there’s no noir effect or whatnot, at least we get to hear some familiar violin tunes, right?
The official blurb for the trailer states:
For Max Payne, the tragedies that took his loved ones years ago are wounds that refuse to heal. No longer a cop, close to washed up and addicted to pain killers, Max takes a job in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco, in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. But as events spiral out of his control, Max Payne finds himself alone on the streets of an unfamiliar city, desperately searching for the truth and fighting for a way out.
To be honest, I’m more interested in what happens to Max’s hair throughout the game…from one, lean and mean killing machine, he gets transformed to a balding fat guy who can still kick ass.
We’ll get the answer to that and more once Max Payne 3 ships on May 15 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
