Ubisoft Releases “Documentary” for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Ubisoft has just released a new trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and it’s quite a departure from what we’re used to see from military shooters. Nope, the trailer doesn’t focus on explosions or gun-fights; what we see instead is a “documentary” of sorts of the game’s protagonists.

Of course, it’s a fake documentary but they do a really good job with it — heck, they even have that blurred effect on the CGI person’s face as he talks about his “experiences.”

Will this be the new “in” thing for military shooters? The trend started with the Medal of Honor reboot back in 2010 and people really seem to like this more subtle, realistic approach.

If you don’t care about this stuff and just want to shoot “them bad-guys,” the game will be out this coming May 25 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
