Well, it seems the rumors were true after. A week before The Verge came forward with leaks of a possible $99 subscription-based console package of the Xbox 360, and today Microsoft officially confirmed they are planning such a thing.
The deal requires players to sign up for a 2-year subscription to Xbox Live Gold at $14.99 per month. You’ll get a 4GB Xbox 360 console along with Kinect.
For it, you must bring the coupon seen here to a participating Microsoft store in the U.S.
Early termination fees also apply, which you can read about here.
What’s your take on this offer? Do you think a 4GB Xbox (and Kinect) is worth $99 plus a $15 per month (for two years) subscription?
