Assassin’s Creed 3 to Portray Benjamin Franklin Realistically

While most of the historical “facts” in the Assassin’s Creed universe is ficiton, it seems they might be bringing a touch of realism to one of America’s most famous historical figures — Benjamin Franklin.

Alex Hutchinson, creative director of Assassin’s Creed III shared the challenges of how hard it is to stay true to “real people” in the Assassin’s Creed universe…adding in that the real people who gets assassinated in game should fit within that person’s real timeline of death.

Aside from this, he also discussed Benjamin Franklin…and how they’re staying true to his real character. Yes, the man’s a historical icon, but he’s also been known to like the ladies…a LOT!

We went with the more unusual sides of him. Like his love of women…He said that women dry out, but they dry out from the top down, and therefore the bits that you need never dry out. I know we’re going to get [complaints], but this is all public record.

Quite an interesting aspect, if you ask me. To be honest, as long as they’re not stretching the truth too much (or at all), it wouldn’t be bad to showcase historical figures as real as they are, no? It would certainly denote a more human side from them…at least from my opinion.
