Black Ops 2 60 FPS Still a Priority, PC Version to Use DirectX 11

There seems to be a lot of news regarding Black Ops 2 after its initial reveal and you’d better be ready for more. This time, we have news regarding the game on its graphical front.

While Black Ops 2 most likely won’t win “Best in Graphics” anytime soon, that doesn’t mean the game will look ugly. On the contrary, Treyarch is focusing on a few key things that has made the franchise what it is today.

Dan Bunting, Treyarch’s director of online has confirmed that the game will run at the optimal 60 frames-per-second (fps) and that they’re not willing to sacrifice the game’s frame-rate for visual detail.

While this is expected, Mark Lamia, head of the studio, has also revealed that Black Ops 2 will take advantage of DirectX 11 for the PC.

Of course, to some people this might not be that big of a deal but for CoD purists, it’s still nice to hear that they’re doing everything they can to make sure the game engine will still manage to ‘wow” gamers everywhere.
