Black Ops 2 Officially Revealed

While it’s been known for a few days now, it’s officially official! Black Ops 2 will be this year’s Call of Duty; and once again, it’s being developed by Treyarch.

This news has been revealed prematurely by the official UK Call of Duty site. Activision was planning on unveiling Black Ops 2 during the NBA Playoffs later tonight.

While the trailer itself can’t be seen (it has since been pulled to schedule it during the NBA Playoffs), we do get an official blurb and a few screenshots to pass the time. Yes, the game will take place in the near future and will feature future technologies!

Here’s the official blurb:

Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.

If you’re not a fan of NBA or simply not from the US, don’t fret, as we will have the game’s first-ever trailer available here on the site for your perusal.
