It seems PlayStation Vita owners might have to wait just a wee bit longer if they want to experience BioShock on a handheld, as Irrational Games boss Ken Levine shared that their top priority now is making sure BioShock Infinte will live up to lofty expectations and to make its scheduled release date of Oct. 16, of course.
In an interview with Wired, Levine was asked if they were working on both BioShock Infinite and BioShock for the PS Vita.
These games really are all-consuming endeavors. You do want to keep the ball rolling but it is tough to give it your full attention before you finish what you have. But we’re getting there with Infinite…So yeah, we’re not as focused on the Vita game as we will be.
Levine also admits that the reason he’s not ready to talk about the Vita version of the game is simply because, “I’m not ready to talk about it because I don’t have anything to show yet.”
Well, there you have it! Straight from the horse’s mouth, if you will. Hopefully, BioShock for the PS Vita will be well worth the wait whenever it’s released.
BioShock Infinite will be out this coming Oct. 16 for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
