Blizzard has finally announced the date to shutdown the beta servers for Diablo III. May 1 is the given date and the closure seems fairly logical as the full release of the game is just around the corner:
We’d like to thank everyone who has participated in the Diablo III beta,” the developer said. “You’ve done an admirable job of testing, and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback you provided during this critical phase of development
All the information related to the the beta accounts will be reset. Diablo III’s official community will stay open for comments but for only those, who pre-ordered Diablo III or have a StarCraft II or an active World of Warcraft game license attached to their Battle.net account. Diablo III is set to release on May 15.
